Maiyo (“my-oh”) Saji (they/she) was born and raised in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. They are second-generation Japanese American and have worked as a community organizer and paralegal on a variety of issues related to environmental and racial justice, immigrant rights, and climate and energy policy. They are also an oil painter, printmaker, and more recently learning to bookbind.
Currently, Maiyo is a master’s student in Geography at the University of Minnesota.

- Digital Geography; Digital Natures
- Visual culture and aesthetic theory
